Possibly, who knows ? I
mean, 'they' tell us that
eating additives is "safe"

before the introduction of

TEA Time is a social space, an open meeting for open minded English speakers.

“We may differ in our nationalities, cultural backgrounds or professions, but we have this one thing in common: we speak English. We share a common language therefore we can share knowledge, experiences, ideas, insights, feelings and a lot of other things that make our lives better.

The original concept of TEA Time focused on practicing English. It soon turned out though that there is much more to it than just speaking English. Personally, it has widened and turned my world upside-down by getting me some very good new friends. I don’t mean Facebook or virtual friends. These are all real people who I became friends with, because I like them.

It is amazing to see how everybody benefits from TEA Time. Some foreign people come to meet locals, some people come to practice their English, others come to build business relationships and some just want to have a great time out. All of them find what they are looking for in TEA Time. Being a part of this is the most rewarding experience ever!”  - Zsolt, TEA founder

See what some TEA Timers think:

„I enjoyed the TEA a lot. I am amazed, how easy one gets access to all those nice people and activities, arriving the first time to Budapest as a foreigner. Its great!” - utaschulz1

"I'm happy to got to know so many interesting and nice people.

The hike will hit the road at a different location than in previous years, so we should meet at Veres Péter Gimnázium 1039 Budapest, Csobánka tér 7. According to the official website we may depart from 7:15 am, but we will have to register and pay the 400 HUF fee first so I would like to ask everyone to try to be there at 7:00 am at the latest. There will be thousands of people all wanting to do the same thing at the same time so it is important that we be there on time and stick together otherwise there will be chaos.

The best way to get there by BKV is to take Szentendrei HÉV and get off at Békásmegyer stop. The meeting point is 5 minutes walk from there. The hike ends for us in the town of Dorog where we can get a bus back to Budapest easily.

If you are there at 7 in the morning and can’t find us call this number: +36204304378

If you have never done long distance hikes before, make sure you have comfortable hiking shoes and enough water and food to keep you going for 8-10 hours.

Almost forgot to say that if you manage to complete the hike within 10 hours you will get a badge from the organizers to prove your achievement.

Location: Veres Péter Gimnázium 1039 Budapest, Csobánka tér 7.

Time and date: 7:00 am 23rd May 2009
