What is Tea Time?

TEA Time is a social space, an open meeting for open minded English speakers.

“We may differ in our nationalities, cultural backgrounds or professions, but we have this one thing in common: we speak English. We share a common language therefore we can share knowledge, experiences, ideas, insights, feelings and a lot of other things that make our lives better.

The original concept of TEA Time focused on practicing English. It soon turned out though that there is much more to it than just speaking English. Personally, it has widened and turned my world upside-down by getting me some very good new friends. I don’t mean Facebook or virtual friends. These are all real people who I became friends with, because I like them.

It is amazing to see how everybody benefits from TEA Time. Some foreign people come to meet locals, some people come to practice their English, others come to build business relationships and some just want to have a great time out. All of them find what they are looking for in TEA Time. Being a part of this is the most rewarding experience ever!”  - Zsolt, TEA founder

Ice Skating at Műjégpálya 15 January

2009.01.15

Trying to make the most of winter we are going ice skating first thing in the new year before the splendid Mujégpálya closes for another 8 months. We are meeting at 18:00 in front of the entrance of Műjégpálya (see map below) to enjoy the ice for a couple of hours without breaking a bone. The skating rink is open until 8 pm after which we will visit a nearby pub. If you can’t get there by 6 pm, don’t worry, come in and look for us or TEA flags. The entrance is 700 HUF on a Thursday. If you don’t have your own skates you can rent a pair at the rink for 600 HUF/hour. Please note that an ID with a photograph OR 15 000 HUF is required as a deposit if you want to rent. They have sizes from 25-48 so you will probably find a fitting pair.
