As for the favourite actors
"Two Thumbs up " to Tom
Hanks and the worst one goes
to all the action
stars...thats a long
list..Arnold,Van
Damm,etc.... Adam Sandler
too makes me sick with his
nerdy roles.

The hike will hit the road at a different location than in previous years, so we should meet at Veres Péter Gimnázium 1039 Budapest, Csobánka tér 7. According to the official website we may depart from 7:15 am, but we will have to register and pay the 400 HUF fee first so I would like to ask everyone to try to be there at 7:00 am at the latest. There will be thousands of people all wanting to do the same thing at the same time so it is important that we be there on time and stick together otherwise there will be chaos.

The best way to get there by BKV is to take Szentendrei HÉV and get off at Békásmegyer stop. The meeting point is 5 minutes walk from there. The hike ends for us in the town of Dorog where we can get a bus back to Budapest easily.

If you are there at 7 in the morning and can’t find us call this number: +36204304378

If you have never done long distance hikes before, make sure you have comfortable hiking shoes and enough water and food to keep you going for 8-10 hours.

Almost forgot to say that if you manage to complete the hike within 10 hours you will get a badge from the organizers to prove your achievement.

Location: Veres Péter Gimnázium 1039 Budapest, Csobánka tér 7.

Time and date: 7:00 am 23rd May 2009

Hungary To Cut Costs On HUF 100 bln Scale, Handouts Will End
"After government measures that ?broke taboos" during the first 75 days, we are now facing the challenge of making further key decisions in the next 6 to 9 months," Hungary's Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai said in an interview with weekly HVG. ?On the one hand, what has been done so far will have to be included in the budget.
'BCCH Family Day', Holiday Beach Hotel Budapest, 5 July
"We are planning to hold our traditional BCCH Family Day for our members, partners and their families at the Holiday Beach Hotel (1037 Budapest, Piroska u. 3 5.) on Sunday, 5 July. The event will also serve as a charity drive, so all sponsors and attendees will be supporting the Foundation for the Patients of the Children?s Hospital in T?zoltó utca (A T?zoltó Utcai Gyermekklinika Betegeiért Alapítvány).
Hungarian Forint Weaker Again, EUR/HUF Jumps Above 270
"The Hungarian forint hit a new 6-month record around midday on Thursday, the erosion of global optimism pushing the EUR/HUF rate once again above the 270 mark.
'Blue Ribbon Sailing Regatta', Lake Balaton, 3 - 5 July
"In the traditional Blue Ribbon Regatta, boats sail the entire length of Lake Balaton. Rooted in tradition this 200-kilometre race is the longest round-the-lake competition in Europe; it is organised biannually in the middle of July. The Blue Ribbon Regatta has been held on Lake Balaton since 1934.
Support Fair Trade in Hungary by Pledging Cash If We Finish The Balaton Swim
"As some of you know, Treehugger Dan and Kevin Jackson will be doing the Balaton Swim event on July 25th (weather permitting). The swim is 5.4km. I got to remembering doing mile-swim fundraisers as a kid on the swim team and thought, why can't we do the same thing for this? After some discussion, Kevin and I decided that the Fair Trade Campaign run by Vedegylet would be the most worthy beneficiary of our efforts.
